October 22, 2019

October 22, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Department of Cultural Affairs invites members of the community to join certified yoga instructor Jamie Wilson-Murray, the creator of Mindful Play Yoga, for a free, 50-minute yoga session. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 12 noon in the Dineen Hull Gallery Atrium on the sixth floor of the College’s Gabert Library – 71 Sip Avenue in Jersey City, just across the way from the Journal Square PATH Transportation Center.

The benefits of yoga are transformative, and Ms. Wilson-Murray is acclaimed for providing yoga fundamentals that help participants feel grounded, balanced, and flexible, while learning and understanding mindfulness. She established Mindful Play Yoga to bring out the kid in children, adults and caregivers, and to enable them to see the best in everyone.

HCCC Department of Cultural Affairs Director Michelle Vitale said the venue for the “Art of Yoga” session is the site of the new “Solo” exhibition, which showcases the work of Maplewood-based artist Roberta Melzl. “The goal of this session is to promote wellness in everyday life while fostering an appreciation of the work of area artists,” she stated.

Reservations for the “Art of Yoga” may be made at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/art-of-yoga-tickets-68194833583. Ms. Vitale recommends that participants bring their own yoga mats as only a limited number will be available. Photo ID must be shown when entering the HCCC Gabert Library.
