Hudson County Community College Foundation Will Host Silent Auction at 28th Annual Foundation Holiday Gala

December 2, 2025, Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Foundation has secured very special items for a silent auction prizes at this Thursday’s Holiday Gala. Guests will have the opportunity to bid and go out to the ballgame in style, be transported to the gilded age in an overnight castle stay, and travel back in time and view the College’s 50 Years of making history.

Provident Bank and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey will be presented with the Foundation’s Distinguished Service Awards. Throughout the evening, the College’s Culinary Arts Program chef professors and students will prepare and serve exceptional cuisine and desserts. 

The HCCC Foundation 28th Annual Gala will take place December 4, 2025, beginning at 6 p.m. in the College’s Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City, NJ. The luxury prizes, made for sharing with friends and loved ones, include:

  • The “Exclusive VIP 2026 Mets Game Experience” featuring two Delta 360 Club tickets for seats just four rows behind home plate at Citi Field. The package, which is valued at $1,450, includes spectacular views from a private, climate-controlled lounge, gourmet dining and top-shelf beverages throughout the game, stadium food vendor options, and VIP service.
  • The $10,000 “Gatsby Experience” includes an overnight stay for ten guests in five Gatsby Rooms at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner, spirits and wines, as well as breakfast. (Booking must be made one month in advance and used by May 4, 2026.)
  • Curator’s Tour of Hudson County Community College’s “50 Year of Excellence” Exhibit at the Museum of Jersey City History. The tour for six will be led by HCCC’s own Director of Cultural Affairs Michelle Vitale with highlights of local architecture, historical events, and much more.

“These unforgettable experiences will provide hours of lasting, enjoyable memories,” said HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber. “We are grateful to Delta 360 Club for the Mets experience, and to Foundation Director Ceallaigh Lorenz-Tallyrande for donating the Gatsby experience she received from Minette’s Angels Foundation and Frungillo Hospitality Group.”

The Silent Auction is just one part of the of HCCC Foundation 28th Annual Gala. The evening will spotlight the College’s five decades of supporting and educating generations of HCCC students and feature exceptional cuisine and desserts prepared and presented by HCCC Culinary Arts program’s chef professors and students.

The HCCC Foundation was established in 1997 to support and promote the College and its students by building awareness campaigns and developing financial resources. The Foundation ensures Hudson County residents are afforded the opportunity to acquire a college education and enjoy the lifelong benefits it provides. The HCCC Foundation generates scholarships for students, seed money for new and innovative programs, stipends for faculty development, capital to assist the College in physical expansion, and resources to address basic needs of students and community members beyond the classroom.
