In this New Jersey State Approved Certified Nurse Aide program, students will be prepared for the N.J. Department of Health and Senior Services Skills and Written Examination. The course will consist of classroom and clinical setting instruction. Typical work settings for graduates of CNA programs are primary long-term care facilities with some students securing employment in hospital acute care facilities. In addition, students will receive additional instruction in medical terminology, fundamental workplace skills, and certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Dementia Care.
“This program allowed me to progress from working as a Home Health Aide to work within a nursing facility where I could utilize the skills I acquired while undertaking this course of study. I particularly enjoyed studying in a group setting with the support of the teaching staff. This also had a significant economic impact and has encouraged me to progress further within this career.” - Laura Sanchez, Certified Nurse Aide student
“As a result of completing the CNA program and receiving the associated certification I was able to secure employment at a Nursing facility having previously been unemployed.” - Naida Larose, Certified Nurse Aide student
