Dr. Senturk joined HCCC as a full-time faculty in 2022. She is passionate about teaching, and continuously strives to make challenging material accessible to students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles and schedules.

Dr. Senturk’s doctoral research focused on gamma-ray astrophysics with imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes. Prior to joining HCCC, Dr. Senturk worked in industry as a data scientist, and as an instructor of physics at various levels. She had the privilege of teaching at several institutions including CUNY, Skidmore College, the American Museum of Natural History, and Bard High School Early College.
