Professional Licensure and Certification Disclosures

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is committed to providing prospective and current students with accurate information regarding educational programs that are designed to meet the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification.

Federal regulations and the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) require institutions to disclose whether educational programs designed to lead to professional licensure or certification meet the applicable educational requirements in U.S. states and territories where students are located or intend to seek employment.

Professional licensure requirements vary by state and are subject to change. The determinations on this page address educational requirements only. Completion of an HCCC program does not guarantee professional licensure or certification. Licensing authorities may require additional examinations, background checks, supervised experience, applications, fees, or other requirements before issuing a license or certification.

Professional Licensure Programs
HCCC has identified the following programs as requiring professional licensure disclosures:

Current State Determinations
HCCC has determined that the programs listed above are designed to meet the applicable educational requirements for professional licensure in New Jersey.

For all other U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories, HCCC has not yet made a determination regarding whether these programs meet applicable educational requirements for professional licensure.

As the College completes its state-by-state review, this page will be updated to identify whether each program:

  • Meets educational requirements
  • Does Not Meet educational requirements
  • No Determination Has Been Made

Students Located Outside New Jersey

Prospective students who reside outside New Jersey, relocate while enrolled, or intend to seek professional licensure outside New Jersey should contact HCCC before enrolling in one of the programs listed above.

Students enrolled in a covered program should notify the College if they relocate to another state while enrolled, as a change in location may affect professional licensure determinations and required disclosures.

Direct Student Notifications

HCCC will provide direct written notification to prospective or enrolled students if the College determines that:

  • a program does not meet the educational requirements for professional licensure in the student's state; or
  • the College has not yet determined whether a program satisfies those educational requirements.

Direct notifications will be provided in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
