Joseph is the Executive Director for the North Hudson Campus. He believes that all students should have equitable access and an opportunity to thrive.

Joseph has approximately twenty-five years of experience in the field of education, which includes public school experience as a teacher and administrator, as well as approximately twelve years’ experience in higher education serving as a Professor of English and Developmental Education, as well as an administrator. He received his Master’s Degree in Education and Reading from New Paltz University. In addition, he has received a Post Master's Certificate in Higher Education Administration from Grambling State University, completed the Chair Academy Leadership and Development Program in June, 2023. He is currently Pursuing his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Liberty State University.

Joseph personally believes that all students deserve the opportunity to receive a college education. In addition, he passionately believes in the transformation of education. He is honored and pleased to be working with everyone to continue to improve relationships with the entire college community to enhance student persistence, success, and graduation rates.

Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree from Montclair State University in Justice Studies with a Paralegal concentration. Jason is a first-generation college student, who believes that everyone has the right to further their education.

He enjoys helping students reach their goals. Jason can assist students with all areas of Enrollment Services ranging from the application process, student issues, residency status, and academic contracts, to name a few. Jason is very determined in helping students be successful.

Diana first migrated to New Jersey a day shy of her fifth birthday. With a passion for knowledge and a determination to better herself, she graduated from Hudson County Community College with an Associates in Sociology. She furthered her education and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from New Jersey City University in Sociology and Anthropology during the Spring of 2020. Diana considers herself an advocate for student success. She is often connecting students with resources and encouraging them to achieve their potential. Diana can be contacted for assistance with registration, student resources – including the North Hudson Food Pantry and Chromebook Loaner Program, account holds, the enrollment process, graduation and transfer inquiries, Alpha Sigma Lambda, the DEI Student Passport Program and much more.

Aura Matias is the secretary for the Executive Director of the North Hudson Campus. She has been working at the college since 1984. She enjoys assisting who ever needs help and treats everyone with respect, the way she likes to be treated. Her passion regarding education is to give a helping hand to students and faculties during their time at HCCC.

Deliana Acosta is a Bilingual Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey and has her Master's in Social work from Rutgers University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with different mental health issues.

Her approach in mental health has been to establish a working relationship through a strength perspective. She has always encouraged people to be the best they can be, understanding that everyone moves at their own pace. She loves to incorporate mindfulness into her practice with clients, as being present is essential in the therapeutic process.

She is passionate about spreading awareness regarding Mental Health and breaking the mental health stigma within the minority community. She advocates ending the stigma by educating individuals not to associate shame with speaking to a licensed professional.
