Basic Spanish I

Online

The curriculum for level 1 will follow a guideline of applying appropriate communication skills. The classes will focus on applying, utilizing, and building correct grammar skills that can be applied on a day-to-day basis. The goal of the level 1 class is to allow the students to start off at an entry level of Spanish and subsequently increase their knowledge and speed of understanding in order to communicate efficiently.

  • Week 1: Self introduction and appropriate greeting. The appropriate uses of all applicable nouns, verbs, and adjectives when speaking.
  • Week 2: Numbers, months, colors, places, and things. Using the proper use of the words, whether it be feminine or masculine.
  • Week 3: This week will focus on the descriptions of people, places, and things. Utilizing the proper usage of words, the students will be able to describe themselves and things that are located around them. This would include things in their homes and/or family and friends.
  • Week 4: Learn how to apply the proper use of words when answering questions that are applicable to everyday life.
  • Week 5: The students will practice speaking in full sentences to describe what they thought about the class, and they will work with one another to expand their understanding of the Spanish language.
