Students are prompted to review and agree to the following Registration and Payment
Agreement once per year.
Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will communicate important information to your
HCCC email address.
By signing off on this, you agree to the following:
Using the College Email Address
- I am responsible for checking my HCCC email account regularly (at least once per week)
and for taking any required action.
- When I reach out to offices at the College, I will do so from my HCCC email.
Paying for Classes:
- I understand that when I register for classes, I am responsible for paying all tuition
and fees.
- I must read and understand HCCC’s current drop/withdrawal/refund policy, and payment
deadlines, as they appear in the Enrollment Guide and in the Published Refund Policy.
Dropping Classes and/or Non-Attendance:
- Dropping or withdrawing from my classes may leave me with a tuition balance, for which
I am responsible.
- If I do not attend my classes, I am still responsible for paying for them, unless
I drop them within 100% refund period.
- If I withdraw from courses within the 50% refund period, I will still be responsible
for the remaining 50% of the cost.
- If I am getting financial aid or scholarships, that money will be used against the
money I owe to the College, to reduce the total amount of money I owe.
I understand that I am still responsible for paying my bill to the college in the
following situations:
- I become ineligible for financial aid and/or loans.
- This can happen when I may:
- Fail to meet eligibility requirements
- Do not attend classes I am registered for
- Not maintaining satisfactory academic progress
- Changes in enrollment status
- Not demonstrating financial need
- Failing to submit required documents on time within the term
- I default on the Tuition Payment plan agreement
- I do not submit required waiver documents
- I am eligible for third party billing and do not submit proof/authorization to bill
the applicable third party (Veteran’s Affairs, Amazon, etc.)
- I do not attend my classes instead of dropping them within the 100% refund period.
- I failed a pre-requisite course and am not eligible to take the course for which I
am registered, but do not take action to drop it myself.
Understanding Your Account Balance and Financial Aid
- I understand I can view my current financial aid status and account balance on Liberty Link.
- Questions about your account balance?
- Questions about your financial aid?
Additionally, I agree that I am responsible for all outstanding debts and contracts
with HCCC. HCCC reserves the right to assess financial penalties on any outstanding
balances, including late fees, interest, collection costs, and legal fees. Any past
due accounts may be referred to an outside collection agency, which could result in
the addition of collection costs.
I authorize HCCC and its representatives to contact me regarding my account balance
at the current or any future phone number(s) that I may provide.
Thank you,
