  • All credits you successfully complete at HCCC toward your associate degree — up to a maximum of 64 credits — can be considered for transfer toward Fairleigh Dickinson University’s bachelor’s or combined bachelor’s/master’s programs.
  • Students who graduate with their Associate’s from HCCC and choose to live on campus receive a $1,500 renewable grant that is applied to housing on campus.
  • If you are a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) scholar, FDU will provide a $2,000 annual award in addition to the Transfer Award for which you qualify pending receipt of your PTK Certificate
  • Part-time students will qualify for a 40% reduction in tuition from the appropriate FDU tuition rate.

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s transfer application is free. If a waiver code is asked for in the application, indicate you have one and it will waive you right through.

  1. Apply via our website fdu.edu/transfer or apply through the Common App.
  2. Send in official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities. They may be sent electronically to myapp@fdu.edu or mailed to 1000 River Road Teaneck New Jersey.

 FDU offers Rolling Admissions for our transfer students, so there is no priority deadline.

Fairleigh Dickinson University offers Rolling Admissions. Our recommend deadlines are as follows:

Spring 2024: December 15th

Fall 2024: August 15th

The EOF application process can be found at www.fdu.edu/EOF. Transfer students must have previously been involved with EOF at their prior institutions.

  • D, pass and fail grades are not transferrable.

FDU accepts ACE credits, and they are reviewed by a course-by-course evaluation. For our BAIS program we can accept a maximum of 90 credits

The transfer application fee is waived when the student applies. Enrollment deposit is $200 for Commuter Students and $400 for Resident Students.

  • DACA students are offered the same support and services as any traditional student is offered.
  • Veterans/active military students are offered support through our Veteran Services office. All their support and contact information can be found on their website: fdu.edu/veterans.

FDU hosts Orientation on both campuses available to our students available in the summer before Fall 2024 term.

  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: Must have certificate for an additional $2,000 scholarship
  • NJ Stars: Students with NJ Stars will be able to continue their scholarship with FDU.
  • Merit Scholarships: Ranges up to $16,000
