AI Tools for Modern Project Managers


Hudson County Community College’s Office of Continuing Education is proud to offer AI Tools for Modern Project Managers. This course explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) within the project management lifecycle. Students will learn how to leverage (AI) tools to generate adaptive project charters, dynamic Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and predictive timelines to enhance decision-making. Additionally, predictive analytics that detect variances and corrective measures, as well as generative (AI) for documentation, are covered. The course emphasizes the transition from administrative Project Manager (PM) roles to "AI-First" strategic leadership. 

This course is designed for project management professionals who want to enhance their skills using AI-driven tools and insights. It is ideal for: 

  • Project Managers and Program Managers looking to improve planning, tracking, and decision-making 
  • Agile practitioners seeking to integrate AI into adaptive and hybrid project environments 
  • PMO staff and project coordinators interested in automating documentation and reporting 
  • Business analysts and team leads involved in data‑driven project decisions 
  • Professionals preparing for the future of project leadership in AI‑enabled organizations 
  • Prerequisites: A foundational understanding of Project Management and Agile principles is recommended. 

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 

  1. Evaluate (AI) tools for project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  2. Apply Generative (AI) Large Language Model (LLMs) to automate project charters, status reports, and stakeholder communication.
  3. Analyze project data to predict outcomes using basic predictive modeling.
  4. Navigate the ethical implications of AI, including bias in algorithmic decision-making.

This program runs for 5 weeks, and each class is held live, via Zoom, for enhanced learning and full engagement.
