Description

The Associate in Science in Medical Sciences is a Pre-Professional degree that prepares students for transfer to baccalaureate degree programs that will lead to careers in allied health care fields. The program is designed as a pathway to further study in a variety of health care and/or pre-medical specialized fields such as pre-physical therapy, pre-physician assistant or pre-pharmacy. Through required coursework, students gain the necessary knowledge and skills for admission into allied health care programs.

ENG-101 College Composition I
ENG-102 College Composition II

Complete the following courses:

MAT-110 Precalculus
BIO-111 Anatomy and Physiology I
CSC-100 Intro to Computers and Computing

Complete the following groups:

COMPLETE ENG-112 and PSY-101

ENG-112 Speech
PSY-101 Introduction to Psychology

Complete 1 Social Science or Humanities course:

TAKE 1 HUMANITIES OR SOCIAL SCIENCE ELECTIVES

Complete 1 Humanities Elective.

TAKE 1 HUMANITIES COURSE

Complete the following:

TAKE 1 DIVERSITY COURSE FROM: ANT-101 HUM-101 or SOC-260

ANT-101 Intro to Cultural Anthropology
HUM-101 Cultures and Values
SOC-260 Race and Ethnic Relations
