Graduates of the Associate in Science degree in Science and Mathematics (Chemistry) transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete bachelor's degrees in chemistry or related subjects requiring a strong background in chemistry, other natural sciences, and mathematics.

One of my most impactful course was Chemistry because I found it to be a breathtaking and eye-opening experience. The reason for this is because this course dives into the importance of chemical and physical properties that shape everything around us.

Mohammad believes HCCC turned his dreams into a reality because of its positive learning environment. He also expressed that the transfer process was very simple. Mohammad is currently completing his Bachelors in NJCU and hopes to become Doctor of Anesthesiology.

Additional Program Information

Upon successful completion of the Chemistry Program, students will be able to: 

  1. Apply scientific methods in chemistry with the appropriate rigor, accuracy, and precision to best identify a substance.
  2. Demonstrate competency and safely employ various bench top techniques in the laboratory.
  3. Incorporate scientific and mathematical knowledge into the understanding of the world.
  4. Critique and explain the results obtained versus the published data.
  5. Present scientific findings with clarity and confidence in oral and written format.
