Linda Tiscornia
Being one of the first in my Italian immigrant family to attend college, has been both a gift and a challenge. For all students who aspire to a life filled with extraordinary experiences, look for the inner fortitude to achieve your goal. An education is for life and changes a life.

Prof. Tiscornia is an adjunct faculty that teaches Mathematics courses here at HCCC. She received her M.A. in Mathematics in Education from New Jersey City University.

 
Prof. Gurung, Ras
I grew up in Nepal, in a region where only 25% of women are literate. I am the first generation in our family to get a formal education. I faced all kinds of challenges and struggles while growing up. Despite all that, I never stopped going to school and learning.

Prof. Gurung is an adjunct faculty that teaches Chemistry courses here at HCCC. She received her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Prof. Nokhal, Lamiaa
I immigrated from Egypt in 2014, where I was a practicing medical doctor (MD) When my husband and I first arrived to the US, we both faced many challenges. HCCC helped shape my career by giving me the opportunity to teach Biology.
